Belize

The reason most visitors head to Belize is the wonderful Caribbean coast and the Cayes. These are good enough reasons, however I hardly ever hear mention of the food. The food in Belize is delicious - as they say 'Soul Food.' My favourite dishing include the ever-popular chicken stew with beans and rice. Without which, I would suggest a visit to Belize isn't complete.

Even if you aren't a diver, Belize has some good snorkeling. Trips from several of the Cayes go to areas where tame Nurse Sharks and rays come to be fed. You can happily swim between them and they will even let you handle them if you are careful. I was generally disappointed with condition of the reef in these areas though, so do not expect dive-quality undamaged reef systems.
